Catherine & Richard
What started off as a dull and misty morning turned out to be an absolutely smashing(albeit very very windy) day for Catherine and Richards wedding in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.
Catherine got ready with her bridesmaids at home in Dungarvan in what has to have been one of the most relaxed homes I've ever experienced on the morning of a wedding. Even the heavy mist outside could not dampen their spirits.
Next we travelled 5 minutes down the road to St Laurence's church on Ballinroad for the most important part, the ceremony. The sun made its first appearance here and its effect on the guests was evident as the laughter and smiles took over. There were a few tears of joy as Catherine made her way down the aisle towards Richard.
After the ceremony, I set off with Catherine and Richard to grab some shots along the Copper Coast. They braved the heavy wind on the edge of a cliff for some beautiful portraits. We almost lost the veil too as it blew off and I sprang into action to catch it, all part of the fun, of course I caught it and the veil will live to tell the story, as will the pictures.
The Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny hosted the wedding reception. The laughter continued here, and the wind continued it's spectacle outside, blowing over bikes and flowers. The best man even delivered some incredible impersonations during the speeches just before the band and guests got the dance floor hopping.
The whole day was centred around the people who mattered most, Catherine & Richards family and friends and it was an absolute pleasure for me to have been a part of it and to be able to capture these memories for them.
